The heavily forested 25-acre property lies near the base of the Braintree Mountain Range, at the heart of Vermont’s Green Mountains, just 2.3 miles off of Vermont Route 100 in Granville, Vermont. Most of the property’s 25 acres are cloaked in forest. The lower portion of the land is covered in beautiful white birches in early forest secession. The earth friendly home itself is found near the center of the property, assuring peace and privacy. A two-acre clearing, edged by oaks, sugar maples, and white birches, marks the home site.



The green home consists of two round yurt-style buildings: the main house, and a separate stand-alone studio cottage. Both are powered by solar energy. The earth tones of the two hand-sculpted yurts merge gently with the surrounding landscape, creating a sense of peace and harmony.

A large organic garden adjacent to the home provides more vegetables than you’ll be able to eat in a summer. The organic garden has been lovingly tended for more than three years, and has yielded extraordinary crops of peas, beans, pumpkins, squash, tomatoes, cucumbers, potatoes and more. Standing in the garden at twilight you can enjoy sunsets over the main range of the Green Mountains.



Rising above the home site is a maturing hillside forest of white ash, maple, beech, and spruce. There is a second very accessible building site on the property that can be subdivided. This lot has perced for its own separate septic system, and has its own improved spring. A second unimproved spring is found on the land and offers a steady year round supply of clear, clean mountain water. This spring could be the ideal source for a pond.
